The Phoenician Code TV Series project is now (since February 17-18/2022) under non-exclusive Shopping Agreement with Northern Star Pictures, Inc. (NSP). The Author is also in discussions for similar non-exclusive agreements with American TV Developers, Investors, Producers, Scriptwriters, etc.
Past Info : The contract (Option & Extension) with NSP for the rights to The Phoenician Code has ended on October 4, 2021.
Northern Star Pictures, Inc. (NSP) has optioned the rights to The PHOENICIAN Code, a novel by award winning Lebanese author Karim El Koussa. The Westlake Village, California based production company has fast-tracked the project and plans to adapt the international theological thriller as a TV Series for television or streaming.
Originally published in the United States in 2011 by Sunbury Press, the novel has been translated in Arabic and French and has ranked in the top best sellers in the Religious and Fiction categories by Amazon Spain and France.
The contemporary story centers on a mild-mannered Lebanese-American historian whose radical theories on the Old Testament make him the target of mysterious assassins and propel him into a world of ancient secret societies, hidden temples, supernatural encounters and ritualistic murders as he unearths clues to the true origins of Christ. But time is of the essence and he must expose the leaders of a ruthless politico-religious brotherhood before they keep him quiet, for good.
“It’s THE DA VINCI CODE meets RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, a compelling, entertaining story with some exciting action set pieces,” says writer-producer Pierre Lapointe during announcing the project in October 2018. “And very dense in terms of historical and archeological research. Karim has done a great job putting those elements together. And now, it’s my job to translate that into a gripping, edge-of-your-seat show.”
The project will be pitched to broadcasters and distribution companies and is looking to get local Lebanese companies involved.

On February 5, 2019, Northern Star Pictures, Inc. said it is very excited to announce that versatile actor Nick Tarabay, who you will recognize from the STARZ network series Spartacus, has agreed to play the lead role in the series we are currently developing called THE PHOENICIAN CODE.
Nick is also playing a creative role in creating the show with me and will also Executive Produce.
